ABOUT ME

Nice to see you here, my name is Melanie!


Photography has been a red thread in my life since childhood and it was last year that I finally took the professional step to follow a photography course at the School for Photography. I love to photograph families, couples and children.

 

My style? I prefer to photograph outside and go for the spontaneous and casual photos. Without too much frills, as few orchestrated poses as possible. You are unique, and that's what I want to capture. Therefore no photo session is the same. Together we look at the moment, the place and then my creativity does the rest. I assure you that you will always get a picture that makes you happy and smile!

 

I was born in Purmerend (NL) and through wanderings at home and abroad, I now live in Leiden (NL). During the day or evening I can often be found in nature to photograph. Furthermore, traveling, my family, football and the beach make me happy.

Why the name M-stand?

M-mode (in Dutch: M-stand) is a term in photography where you use manual mode to set everything on your camera manually: shutter speed, aperture and depth of field. This way I know exactly what the photo technically will look like and we leave the rest to the moment!
